Should Magnet be included in a resume?

Hello,
I'm new to this site and am finding a lot of useful information. Thanks! I'm in the process of updating my resume for grad school applications and have a resume-related question. My hospital was recently awarded Magnet status and I'm wondering if and/or how that should be included.

I don't see any reason to include it unless you were responsible for it. The resume is about what YOU have accomplished and what YOUR skills are. There is no need to mention the Magnet status unless you were involved in a committee or similar activity that contibuted to the Magnet award. If that's the case, then list that activity as something that YOU accomplished.If desparate for something to say, you might say something like ... (a 360-bed teaching hospital with Magnet designation) in parenthesis after you list the hospital as your employer.
I've never added it and I'd imagine if it is a well known center they will know just by the name. In any event imvho as someone who works at a magnet facility the reality of it is that its not all that impressive.
I think my head was up my ass when I posted that question. Jules, I agree that it isn't that impressive. IMVHO the whole thing is a sham and that has been the consensus of friends who work in community and world-renowned hospitals along the East Coast. llg, that was overkill with the caps.
