New Grad position with previous tech experience?

I'm set to graduate May 14th with my BSN and recently applied for one of 80 internship slots at a hospital in town. I've worked there for over 2 years as a level II tech, and am terrified of not landing a job because of the intense competition here.

Have any of you found that previous experience as a tech helps significantly? I'm looking to ease my anxiety
Imo it helps the most if you are going to work on the floor where you worked as a tech. Having an "in" and a job lined up before graduation is a great plan, imo. Good luck.
