Should I give up?

Rating:
(votes: 7)

Hello..

I've been a new grad since May 2009 and still actively job hunting. Here's my situation: I only have 1 contact with a NM at a hospital that I've previously done preceptorship at. I emailed the NM my resume & CL and she seems interested and Cc: my resume to a recruiter. I noticed the recruiter's email address from that email so after a week, I decided to email her introduce myself..etc.. Second week, I contacted the NM again and told her that I haven't heard from the recruiter and she said ok, she'll contact the recruiter. The 3rd week, I sent another email to the recruiter.... and still nothing. Should I just give up? I don't want to seem annoying and I don't know what to do... I really want to work at that unit.

FYI, I'm not picky about where to start my career and am actively applying. It's just that I have this 1 and only network and feels that I should take advantage of it.... but they're not getting back to me. I would love to meet the NM directly but I don't want to just walk onto the unit w/o giving notice. What should I do?

Any input is appreciated. Thank you for listening!
The ward has your information, if they want you , they will contact you, its possible that they have lots of other people to consider and its taking a while which it often does.I would not set my heart on one place tho if i were you , best to have plan B and C.
