RN to change career as a physical therapist

I'm currently an RN with ER experience who will like to find out if a change of career would be an advantage. I was considering physical therapist because I've been interested in this field for a long time but I wanted to know if my ADN would be an advantage and how long would I have to study to achive my degree. Any advise would be truly appreciated.
