career path

I put this in the nursing section as I am looking for some solid advice . I am not a nurse and just finished a cna class. I am not sure what path to take . I am second career material (meaning I am older than most changing careers). I liked most of the cna stuff although incontinence type issues were challenging to me . I know this is not good for cna work . Originally I was looking at continuing to the lpn cert. program and then see where it lead . I don't need to make rn pay as I have other means to make some money . I do need additional income though and I enjoy many parts of the field . My question is what if anything is there between cna and lpn . Is there any thing positive and secure about jobs like cna moniter techs or cna 2 ? I am willing to work as a cna in ltc to get the exp. but I am confused as to the options other than lpn or rn . What fields are in hot demand (if any) ? Any help is appreciated and if this thread gets moved no problem as I wasn't sure where to put it ? TIA Jim
