Newly qualified wanting to work in the US...HELP!

Hii! I am a 21 year old student nurse studying for an advanced diploma in general adult nursing. I qualify in September 2011, and really need a good opportunity to move abroad and gain good experiences! I would absolutely love to work in the US, but have no idea what so ever how to go about appliying, whether I would need experience here first, or whether I would need my degree first? Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated!


Starting point would be which country are you in? If the UK (suspect by your description) then you will have issues as hours required in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics as well as general adult are required to meet US requirements. Secondly there has been a retrogression since Oct 2006 which means if you are luck y to find a employer for the US you are still currently looking at several years wait for a immigrant visa allowing you to live and work in the US.Suggest you check out the International forum
