Need Help with resume mailing

Hi all,

I am applying for my first nursing position out of school. I will have finished my ADN next month. I want to get my resume out there to hospital's human resources departments. Keep in mind that I only have my clinicals as experience and a preceptionship of 120 hours. Do you think I should mail a physical resume to a perspective employer stating the areas of interest that I have or do I look on their website and see what positions they have open and send a physical in response to a posting? Please help me.
