On-Line MSN-FNP Program Recommendations??

Rating:
(votes: 0)

Hi everyone! I am a RN with a BSN. I am anxious to go back to school to eventually become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have a local university (University of Texas at Pan American) that offers the program- but i am interested in pursuing an on-line degree. I have no idea which schools are credible, etc. Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!
Will an online degree yield an efficacious clinician?

Good point. This is another thought I am wondering about. What do you think?

I don't know enough about it. It's just a question I've had. I could do that here as well eventually, but I just wonder if it'd be good for me and patients. UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas has a FNP program that is online except for course orientations and clinicals in "your neck of the woods."

I am currently enrolled in the MSN-FNP program from St. Joseph's College online. Good school, highly recommended.

I went to St. Louis University online. Very $$$, but although I did education, I had classes with many NP students. It was rigorous. They had a lot of clinical. I think they have excellent pass rates on the certification exams. The professors for pharm, patho, and physical assessment were excellent. They were highly thought of by all of the MSN students.

Just in my first class this month, Nursing Leadership. I have to say that Master level courses are a lot more challenging than undergraduate..ugh. You really need to have a plan and commit to studying and getting all of the assignments done. I find it very challenging. Good Luck with whatever program you choose to attend
