do i need to take the local boards in philippines?

greetings, im new here so please take it easy on me,

* im an american citizen, and just graduated from the philippines, do i really have to take the philippines board exam in order to be able to take the nclex exam? i think they will not allow me to take phil boards because you have to be a filipino citizen..

You need to speak to the BRN and ask them, correct you need to be a Philippine citizen to take it and BRN may just require something from PRC stating you can't take exam
