Is it faster/cheaper to get your DNP in another country?Rating: (votes: 0) I'd be really cautious about a non-US qualification being recognised if you want to practice back home - Australian nursing degree isn't fully recognised in the US (and an associates' degree doesn't meet our registration standards), and I imagine that could continue for post-grad education. But if they are recognised (and I'm sorry I don't know the answer but maybe the California BON would know) maybe you could consider the home of nurse/patient ratios, Victoria Comment: Ditto what talaxandra said. It may be cheaper/faster, but you may end up with a degree that isn't recognized in the U.S. for whatever reason.Research the schools thoroughly, as well as ask the CA BRN whether they'll accept a degree from the school, before you sign up for anything.
