New RN hired at Transitional Care Unit

Hi, I just accepted a position as a New RN at TCU . Im so worried cause I havent been practicing my nursing skills since 2008 . On my interview the director of the hospital that hired me told me that I will be going to have a 6-8 weeks orientation on that unit. My question is what kind of preparation do i need to do?. I read from past statements here that it is also called Progressive care unit or a step down unit ..
