It depends on the facility and it varies everywhere. I live in NC and started at a nursing home a few weeks after being licensed. I was given $19.00/hr base pay because I asked for it. Also, you have to know what you will not accept and have a minimum and not agree to work for less than that and negotiate. After working there a while I found out the usual base pay for LPNs was only $18.00/hr. Not much difference but pretty darn good for a new grad with no experience. Others who had been there for years are still making $18.

Depends on where you live. I started out at $23.56 plus $1.30 for evening shift differential. In the LPN/LVN corner.. theres a thread on how much LPNs are making.

I live in Rock Hill ,SC i'm a new grad and i make 20.00 hr. I work for an agency.
