Suggest Periodicals/Magazines for NursesRating: (votes: 0) I am about to begin clinicals...I have an eight month break and want to learn as much as possible. I am interested in learning about trade magazines for Nurses. (Along the lives of Nature or Science, but for Nurses). I've had past subscriptions to The New England Journal of Medicine...but obviously that isn't quite what I am looking for. I am interested in articles about nurses, articles about new practices in nursing, etc. Occassional peer-reviewed articles (like Science/Nature) are wonderful, but it does not necessarily need to be an academic periodical. Thank you! Aries Not a magazine... but I'm a big fan of Medscape Nursing and you can get their stuff deposited directly into your inbox. Comment:

Quote from MoogieI second that. Medscape Nursing is an excellent resource.Non-academic journals that you might find helpful are American Journal of Nursing and Nursing 2011. Both may be available in your school library; they used to offer student discounts for subscriptions. You should be able to access academic journals through an online database like CINAHL or Pubmed. Good luck in your program!
