Where to get workers comp taken care of?

I had a work related injury in another state a month ago. They fired me.
Since then, I am living in another state.
I am due for follow up tests. How do I go about getting my tests done and making sure that my previous employer pays for it? They know I am in another state and they fired me months before so we dont have any contact.

Did you file a workers' compensation claim, either before or after you were fired?If you have received treatment for this injury, who paid for it?

My employer paid for it. But like I said, she knows I am in another state and I think she is happy

Are you saying that your former employer paid your medical bills related to this injury directly, but no workers' comp insurance claim was filed?I hope that's not what you're saying.If you're looking for some meaningful input, a clarification of the timeline would be helpful too.

If you were being treated for a work related injury and found to be at MMI, the case is closed. If you were not found to be at MMI, the case is still open.You can contact your nurse case manager for information on how to proceed. If you do not know how to contact him/her, call the doctor's office where you were treated for this injury and they can tell you who your nurse case manager is and their contact information.If they are reluctant to provide care (and the case is still open), it might be prudent to contact a lawyer.

I had to do workers comp once. You file an occurrence report within 24 hours, and are immediately given a caseworker. That caseworker makes/cancels are Dr. visits for you. In addition, at my hospital the caseworker actually attended the Dr. appointments with you. At my hospital you had to see one of there Dr's so I don't know how that would work because you live out of state.

I'm guessing from the lack of response from the OP that a claim was never opened. If that is true, OP, then I'm sorry because I doubt that you have recourse @ this time.
