Got An Interview In The OR.......Rating: (votes: 0) Suit and tie. MUST!!! Comment:
Over dressing is better than underdressing. wear professionally.
Comment:
I say nice casual. Your work environment is scrubs. Leave the suit and tie to the surgeons (you can't compete with their wardrobe anyway) and impress them with your enthusiasm. You're going to be a team player, not a sales rep.
Comment:
Depends on who's interviewing. Usually, the theater UM is a tad more laid back than the rest of the brass, but rather err on the side of caution. Smart, businesslike, well-groomed. Wear something you feel good and confident in.Good luck, I hope you knock 'em dead!

Business suit.

There's no such thing as too formal for an interview.

Respectfully, I disagree. Dress for the job you're interviewing for. Suit and tie is overkill for a staff nurse.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think I'll go with slacks and tie. I was thinking suit was overkill.

Well, again respectfully, I'm glad I didn't interview with you! I just finished three interviews with the same company (HR, nurse manager, and ? nurse manager's boss). I wore tan pants, nice pull over shirt, and never took my winter jacket off!Got the job. Just got the offer this morning. I guess, you do what's comfortable for you. I _never_ wear a suit and tie. Ever. I would feel like I'm handcuffs and shackles if I did. YMMV.
