I enjoy my patients

1 The good, the bad and the unbeautiful

They come into my rooms, with uncertainty in their eyes.

They wonder what is going to happen next,

They certainly hope I can help them in their ailment

I welcome them, with uncertainty in my mind-

I am unsure of what disposition they possess

They look to me, and speak unspoken words,

"Hear me, oh hear me".

I seek to provide the best care as I can and send them forth

To paths unknown...and then as I make to walk out their room,

I stop and glance back...to be continued
