Adult Health NP can apply for ACUTE Care Certific. Exam?

From a related thread, I believe the crucial question is now:
"Can the graduate of an Adult Health NP Master's apply for the ACUTE Care Certific. Exam (ACNP) of the ANCC?" I have researched AllNurses.com and scoured the ANCC's website: but no apparent answer---may try calling the ANCC, but may just get a computer-voice-mail account. Thanks.
No, you need to complete an ACNP program in order to complete the ACNP exam.

What would make you think that if you have graduated from an ANP program that you can sit for ACNP boards? That would be no different than a FNP wanting to sit for ACNP boards. Even though there is some overlap, ANP, FNP, and ACNP are not the same specialties.
