Pharmocology test for new hospital position... Help!!

Rating:

Im taking a pharm exam tomorrow for a new nursing position. The blue print said 40 questions.. 28 multiple choice, 7 med math, and 5 listing questions. Okay I have the med math down however Im concerned about the multiple choice and listing questions. Are the listing questions about the 5 rights?? I have no idea what they mean by that! And the multiple choice... is it anything like the nclex or is it basic knowledge? I just need some piece of mind. Thank you!
I had to take a med test... it was listing the 5 rights, some insulin questions, how many tabs would you give, what side effect would you look for... it was pretty straight forward.Good luck!

Most facilities will provide a study guide before the exam. I have seen some basic tests, some doozies! Make sure you can do ratio and proportion problems, know your equivalencies and IV drip formulas. Good luck.

I had to take one long time ago. I failed the first time. (story of my life) that was many years ago. I would really have to brush up..just in case I get canned from my current job.

Practice ..hope you do fine.

Hopefully, unlike the NCLEX, they will stick to drugs you will commonly use on the hospital floor. I would think a hospital would want to at least be practical.

Those test are usually very basic. You know more than you think, and I am sure you will do well. Good luck! Peace!
