get ER wait times on your phone ?Rating: (votes: 0) http://sunrisehospital.com/about/er-wait-times.dot They do that for Riverside Community Hospital. I looked it up for a friend that was going to the ER. Pretty accurate, it said a 20 minute wait time and she saw a doctor in about 30 minutes. Comment:
Lol, just like Space Mountain.

Yeah, I work for an ER that does this! It's an average over the last 4 hours thats generated by the computer based on when our docs "sign up" for the patients on the system. A lot of people ask me if we change it or whatever... but nope! It's all computer generated. We even have two large bilboards around town with digital wait times on it.

none of the hospital would ever do that hear because it would say wait time 6 1/2 hours !

Quote from lrobinson5It IS just like Space Mountain! Everyone seems to believe that there really is a fastpass, you just have to complain a lot.

I work at a community hospital system that has 5 hospitals. One of them advertises their ED wait times on their home page, it is currently 0 minutes. I happen to know this 0 minute wait time is because they are a small ED, in a wealthy part of town, near two other larger hospitals, where medics likely choose to go to the other larger facility. My facility today- (25 miles north of our sister "zero minute wait") had 3 hour wait times, which is high for us, but it was a funky Saturday. Our average daily visit rate is 150, theirs is 50.

There was a hospital in Norfolk, VA and VA Beach, VA that guaranteed being seen within 30 minutes... I don't know how it worked out for them. It seems like the only guarantee of fastpass is if you go during the day time (when normal dr offices are open, and even then there is no guarantee) as opposed to night time and all that is open is the ER. I don't see how they can guarantee 30 mins to be seen.My dr's office can't even guarantee 30 minutes to be seen LOL

Seems to me that if you are well enough to play with your phone app to shop for the hospital with the best "deal" then you really aren't an ER patient anyway.

Quote from xtxrnI have this image of a set-speed conveyor belt zooming through lab, X-ray, nuclear med, EKG, etc....some swipe card zips a person through, and at the end, a pre-fab list of d/c instructions beeps out of a slot in the wall near the exit....
