Renewal/Licensure Question

I was fired from a job in November. When I got fired my manager said they were not reporting it to the BON, and I believed that I did not have to either. I became a traveling RN and when I applied for licensure in 2 other states I told them I had never been fired, as I didn't think that I had to report it to the board. I recently read an article that says when you renew a license or get a new one you have to tell them you have been fired. I am contacting my personal liability insurance which covers fighting for my license. What can happen? I didn't know I was in the wrong. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks.

Many states now ask if you have ever been fired, and why. Answer truthfully. They may ask for more details. I have been fired, answered truthfully, and not been denied my renewal.Best wishes!

Weird. I have never seen this question before either. Why would they want to know if you had been fired? If I were in this situation I would just look at your state's renewel application online and see what they ask before getting worried or going through all of the trouble of contacting people who probably won't know the specifics -
