Survivors Guilt

I'm watching some coverage of the destruction in the Northeast- hundreds and hundreds of people lost EVERYTHING- I am so grateful to have been lucky enough to not have been nearly as affected by Sandy as most of these people. The coverage is so intense. I'm barely holding back tears for these people. I am so grateful that all of my loved ones are safe. I wish I could help. I just feel so helpless:/
Is there a place you can drop of food, clothing or other items? What about the Red Cross? Maybe they could use some monies? (lookout for those scammers though).Please don't feel guilty. You had no control over where that storm hit. Maybe doing the above will help you feel more proactive.Hugs
