RN License plate

3 In my state we can get an auto license plate that has RN with a picture of stethoscope on it. Today I learned an Lpn in my facility has one on her car. She is not in school to obtain her her and no one in her household is an RN. I just find this strange.
Do they offer an Lpn plate? She's a nurse and wanted to show it off but I'm guessing with no Lpn option she had to opt for the RN plate for any nurse plate.

I'm trying to imagine who would want one of those. I don't want random people in the parking lot at Target to know that I am an RN.

Kel is right - who wants all the kinkos out there hitting on you for whatever!

I have a friend who had her nick name and RN on her plate. She regretted it real quick when a patient found her car and found her in a store.

Here's the Tennessee one... extra $35/year. I'll put both size pics since I don't know how big it'll show on mobile devices.

Hmm... agree who would want an RN license plate. That said, I have specialty plates with a designation that shows police and other fire personnel that its okay that I'm at the scene of an accident/incident involving my fire dept. However, it is not obvious to others.

"Hmm... agree who would want an RN license plate." I've paid for an RN license plate for several years simply because my extra payment for the plate is applied to a foundation for nursing education. However, I had to provide my RN license to qualify for the plate.

Usually states will require PROOF that they are entitled to use the plate that they are applying for. My State offers EMT plates and you had to provide a copy of your valid EMT license every year when you sent in your plate renewal fee

I plan on getting my plates. I'm proud of my RN. I don't care less what others think of it. I've had RN bumper stickers for years and haven't had an issue.

Comment:
I already have my plate on hold for when I pass the boards I'm THAT person that doesn't mind if people know I'm a nurse. I know lots of nurses with RN stuff on their cars too.

I wanted to get the Maryland RN plates..but I don't know if I'll be in the state much longer. However, they're nice

Comment:
NC has one, but I opted to get a JDRF one for my son
