Accrediation Question

So, I'm thinking of applying for an accelerated BSN program. I see the one from Marian University advertised on here and it looks good. But I'm a little concerned, if a university spins off a satelite and the main university is accredited, that doesn't necessarily grant accreditation to the satelite, correct?

I know the site in Indianapolis is accredited, but I'm confused about their accreditation status in Nashville, TN where they are partnering with St. Thomas healthcare and offering a blended online and onsite program. This is where I would attend.

Here's a link to the page about the TN branch of the school... it seems slickly worded which makes me a bit suspicious. Accredited Nursing Program in Tennessee

I clicked through the links on the page and found that Marian University in TN is not listed as an accredited institution with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) see below

http://directory.ccnecommunity.org/reports/rptAccreditedPrograms_New.asp?state=TN&sFullName=T ennessee&sProgramType=1

However, the location in Indiana is accredited. What does this mean? Does that mean the TN location is accredited too?

http://directory.ccnecommunity.org/r...sProgramType=1

As of December 2014 the TN location has initial accreditation with the Tennessee Department of Health: Board of Nursing click where it says professional nursing schools.

I think it's considered an authorized institution to the Tennessee Higher Education Commission click and do an in page search (command F or control F for marian)

I'm just confused. I want to be sure that I don't spend time and money getting a degree that ends up meaning nothing. Advice?
The questions to ask when considering a nursing school, is whether or not it is on the BON's list of approved programs and what is the program's status. See Tennessee board of nursing list https://health.state.tn.us/boards/Nu...Schools_RN.pdf

Never be one of the first students in a program that is new, with an accreditation status pending. There can be long delays in approval and the gap time between program completion and eligibility to write the licensing exam, impacts pass rates.
