new nurses share your best test techniqueRating: (votes: 0) N Ok, here's the thing though: people can really only share what worked for them. There is no silver bullet for NCLEX prep, because everyone comes to the test from a different place. Some need content review. Some need help with strategies to answer questions, some need a combination of both. Plus, every tester is unique. Many swear by Kaplan; I personally couldn't stand it. Some have NCLEX preparation built in to their program, some don't. Some were successful throughout their programs and didn't struggle with test taking skills, some have test anxiety. I wish there was a straight answer to give you, but there really isn't one. Do your best, engage in some self reflection to determine where you are, and then do some research on what's available and try the "free samples" offered; there are a variety of paid and free options out there, including the new Khan academy prep, which is a combination of content and questions and totally free. Good luck with whatever you decide! Comment:
I didn't use an app. I used the Kaplan Nclex prep book. That's literally all I studied. Passed first time with 76 questions I'm not telling you it's going to be easy, I'm telling you it's going to be worth it.Author: Art Williams
