Leaving bedside position & returning

Hi!

Wondering if anyone has had a bedside position, left nursing altogether but maintained license thru CEUs or took a non-bedside position and then returned to the bedside years later. Specifically in the SoCal market. Was it difficult to get hired for a bedside position? What were the challenges you faced?
