job market denver colorado

I'm thinking about acquiring my BSN at Metro State University Denver but I keep reading that the job market for nurses in Denver is bad and especially difficult for new graduates. I have a goal of becoming an NP but I will need to work in the field before then for experience. I don't want to go down this road if there are no job prospects within the city where I live. I am not looking to relocate any time soon. Any feedback on what the job prospects are here in Denver in 2015? I won't graduate until around 2019 for my BSN but I want to know if the market is already tight. Anyone?
The market has been tight for a few years. No telling what it will look like 4 years from now.

I have several friends who after graduation moved to Denver for work, one even precepted out there. And that's coming from Nebraska.

To obtain the golden 1 year of nursing experience, many Denver-area new grad nurses who cannot get hired there commute north across state lines to work in hospitals in Cheyenne or Laramie where the local markets tend to hire more new grads. Once these nurses accrue a year of acute care experience, they've become marketable enough to secure nursing jobs back in Denver.

FloatRN19 How long ago did your friends relocate to Denver? I keep reading on blogs that there are too many nursing graduates and not enough new graduate positions! Did your friends have a year of experience when they moved to CO? Any other details would be greatly appreciated!
