(votes: 1)

Hi,

I llive in Vaughan area and I been lookin for a job since Jan 2011 and no good luck. But now I got gave interview last weel at a long term care in Barrie which is like 65 km away from my house and it is a casual/on call position. Next week is my orientation. Now I am very confused if I accept this job or not. I know this job can get me some RPN experience and than I can apply close to my house but I am anware of somethings such as

1.) If casual/On call positions are on contract?
2.) If casual RPN's gets benefits.

also Should I accept this offer its like 1 hour of drive away also I have to think in the winter its going to be hard to drive there because heavy snow in north area.
I just want to know if casual/on call positions are under what kind of aggrement. I am thinking to accept the job offer untill I find somewhere in my area. But I am then scared what if they did contract with me? It is my first job

Plz post your suggetions.
