Personal malpractice insurance?Rating: (votes: 0) At what point of the new process should I look for it? After job offer but before I hit the floor or after I hit the floor? Or after orientation is completed? What companies are good? Which ones are unsavory or leave something to be desired? Thanks for any insight! There are a bunch of existing threads here about the pros and (supposed) cons of personal professional liability insurance. The two companies that get mentioned most often, that deal specifically with professional liability insurance for nurses and other healthcare providers are NSO (Nurses Service Organization) and Marsh. Other members have posted here occasionally that they have coverage through a rider on their homeowner's insurance, but I have no idea how that would work -- I prefer to deal with a company with experience in dealing specifically with nurses and professional liability.
