Getting hired PRNRating: (votes: 0) Thank you for any input. I hope I came across clear in my question. Typically PRN positions are reserved for nurses with experience, as most require at least 2-3 years, though some may settle for a year. They don't put a lot of time in training nurses hired for PRN as they may only get a couple of days of orientation and will be expected to go out on their own. Comment: Thanks! This confirmed what I was thinking. I appreciate it!
