Nurses who have done the flu shot clinics...Rating: (votes: 0) ![]() Quote from wish_me_luckHow did you get those jobs? Where did you look? I think that would be helpful in my field of interest--Community and Public Health. I would appreciate any info. Thank you! Comment: Sign up for clinics..,starts in August...I personally have never done it thoughComment: Quote from HippyDippyLPNSign up for clinics starts in August...I personally have never done it thoughComment: It's all online. Start looking at the website around April or may.Comment: I got my job through craigslist. I saw the add in early October, applied, and got hired right away. It wasn't regular work but it was fun and something to put on the resume.Comment: I've done them before in the days before Craigslist when the want ads were still in the newspaper. They were okay - you'd just set up in a supermarket and shill flu shots to people as they were coming in. Media hysteria that year would dictate how busy you would be.Comment: (MODERATOR EDIT OF ENTITY) immunization clinics... training is online and they start hiring early. It's a pretty good gig. Good Luck!Comment: I also worked for (MODERATOR EDIT OF ENTITY), and yes, you need to apply early...interview is over the phone and all training is online......good luck!!!Comment: Do a google search for immunization clinics/flu clinics. Then apply to all of them. Be honest with the days you are willing to work. I did them last fall and LOVED it! They usually over hire for these to ensure coverage. I make sure to pick up events when they call last minute.Comment: Flu shot clinics are great. You can probably apply year round. I too have seen ads on Craigslist and found the one I did on that site.~ No One Can Make You Feel Inferior Without Your Consent -Eleanor Roosevelt ~Comment: I've worked 3 seasons (September-December) for The Immunization Clinic That Must Not Be Named. They usually start hiring for fall in June. They were badly understaffed last year, and actively recruited throughout the season. If you see a flu clinic at the supermarket or Wal*Mart, and the person running it isn't busy, ask them how to sign up.Comment: Quote from St_ClaireDo a google search for immunization clinics/flu clinics.
