Go back to school or Just jump inRating: (votes: 0) No matter what I plan to go back to school, but I'm wondering if the additional time away will look worse when I go for a job. It depends - - - How tight is the job market in your area? Are you open to working in non-acute settings? Since you have only been out for <2 years, you shouldn't have much difficulty getting back up to speed. If you have experience in a specialty area, this will be a real advantage. My advice? Test the waters & see if you can land a job before jumping back into your BSN. Don't let more time pass. In my experience, 2 years is the cut off when it comes to hiring managers considering you 'inactive' in terms of experience. |
