How many hospitals did you apply to before getting a job after graduating?

I'm graduating in May with a BSN and am currently in the process of applying to jobs. I was wondering how many applications people sent out before they were hired. I've heard horror stories that it is impossible to find jobs, but the people I asked only applied to hospitals in Massachusetts. If I'm willing to move, is it easier to find a job? What were your experiences?
