Longterm Care or Urgent care clinic which is best career move for newby nurse

Hello All I'm new here to allnurses i'm in need of advice I'm a fairly new nurse LPN 1yr anniversary soon :-) yay! since graduating however i've only worked home health and i worked in a school as a 1:1caregiver through my home health employer to a special needs. peds client I've been praying and hoping for an employment opportunity where i could experience more and utilize my valuable "nurse skills" that i really wouldn't want to basically lay dormant....so great news! I have now to job offers one is part time in assisted living facility that has a rehabilitation wing and a Alzheimer's wing....then the other offer is at an Urgent Care Clinic of one of the local major hospitals i wanted to know which position would be more of a benefit career wise for a new nurse thanks so much for the advice u all
JMO but I would go with urgent care. It will give you more varied experiences and will look better on a resume. Working with geriatric pts or special needs are specialties in their own right but unless you intend to specialize in one of them you need the more varied experiences of urgent care. Good luck whichever way you decide.
I'm gonna go with urgent care. I've done LTC (although never an ALF) & it's overwhelming. I would like to do urgent care & I assume it would be able to open more doors than LTC.
I vote urgent care especially since it is affiliated with the hospital.
I also vote for urgent care, if your ultimate goal is to end up at a hospital, it might be easier to transfer down the line to the hospital the urgent care is associated with
