Cross roads

My last two children recently graduated from high school so I am open for anything and feel like I need a change in my life. However, I do not know what I want to do with my career and life at this time. I like the hospital that I work at and really love and respect the surgeons and physicians that I work with every day, but I feel as if something is missing or I am becoming complacent . I do not know if it is just me or if there any other nurses that have also had this type of situation.
I feel like I want to make a change in my career but am concerned that I will not find physicians or co workers like have at my present facility. So how do you know it is time for you to leave and look for a new career ?
I completely understand. I just hate that "been there, done that" feeling. Have you talked with your manager about this? There may be opportunities for career growth that would not require you to leave an organization that you really like.
