Career Path Help! Expensive School or Work My Way Up?Rating: (votes: 0) DON't go to the expensive school! It would behoove you to get your LVN at an more reasonable rate; not worth it at ALL. If you need the CNA class, take it, then go to the 15,000 schooling, then bridge; it will probably cost less than aligning yourself with an expensive school, and you don't even have your BSN, which may be preferred in your area, and it will still cost less when it is all said and done.Don't fall into the trap of having your financial aid eaten up by one program; best to go the most REASONABLE route.I'm sure others will chime in soon. Please be reasonable. Comment: Don't do it! Just do the math $30k for LVN 3/4 of that will probably be loans now add in ADN depending where you go $15k or more we haven't even gotten to your bsn yet and you have already acquired 45k.There is no nursing shortage so with that said once you have your license are you prepared to possibly not work for 3 or more months with that amount of debt to the point you may have to work double shifts? I almost made a similar mistake please if you have to work your way up do that instead or move. But don't acquire debt that you can avoid.
