ER Interview coming up

I have an interview at an ER for a major trauma center coming up in three weeks I'm excited for but my concern is my current ER experience is completely different. I never get to take care of our "trauma patients", they always are given to the experienced nurses working 7A while I'm a 3P-3A nurse I tend to get stuck in the drunk tank/belly acher section with the ESI 3's and an occasional 2. I want to learn so bad that's why I took the transfer to the ED at my current job but I'm not learning much down here along with the commute is a brutal hour and 45 mins with a really bad pay (if I take the trauma center job I earn almost 20K more a year and it's 15 minutes away from home).

How can I sell myself to this place?
Congratulations on your upcoming interview! Firstly, I want to say that you should treat the experience you currently have in the ED as valuable. I think you can do whatever you set your mind to. I know you have that drive within you based on your post. To sell yourself, you should be confident about your current skills and show that you are passionate/willing to learn. I started off my nursing career at a physician's office and transitioned into acute care. I found that the selling point is showing that you really care and have the desire to learn/better yourself as a nurse. I hope this helps. Best wishes with your upcoming interview.
