Question for current nurses

I am starting nursing school in May 2015, but I haven't decided which school to accept. A friend of mine told me to pick the school that offers clinical sites that I'd want to work in after I become and RN. For current nurses, how helpful do you think it is to attend a nursing program that offers a clinical site you want to work in after you graduate?
If you have choices id pick the one with clinical sites at your job of choice. As long as both schools have similar pass rates for nCLEX and good reputations. It'd be a bonus to see how a facility operates from the inside.
This is VERY good advice. In my part of the country, hospitals that hire new grads are inundated with applications. So their primary method of screening is to give priority to those who actually did clinical rotations in the facility. In addition, these local students are also invited to take advantage of 'early application' opportunities for formal transition programs (internship, residency, etc) so there are usually few/no slots for external applicants.Best of luck to you on your educational journey!
