Positivity neededRating: (votes: 0) I had jobs with 2 private duty agencies at the time my license was disciplined. I didn't have any restrictions about what shift I could work, what settings I could work in, or narcotic restrictions. My supervisors at both agencies were very understanding & had no problem completing the quarterly reports I needed. My contract was only 1 year but I was so happy when I finished. Comment: Poppycat thank you for your input!! So they only needed to report on you for a year? Did you have to complete classes as well? If so, how was that?Comment: I was lucky that my contract was only 1 year. I had a good lawyer. I did have to take 2 classes. One was anger management & I can't remember what the other one was. I was able to do both online but they had to be approved by the BON before I took them & I wasn't allowed to count them toward my CE requirement for license renewal.I also had to have random drug screens & I had to send in monthly reports telling them how many AA meetings I had attended, how many times I saw my therapist, & what medications I was taking.Comment: Wow! That's wonderful! Glad to hear it was only a year, I'm sure it went by relatively fast compared to what it could have been. Wow thank you for sharing. I really appreciate it :-)Comment: I recieved a reprimand 8 years ago and am enjoying a successful career, I am in Nursys, but it was a medication error on a narcotic - gave it without a verbal order, and the FDA require all miscounts to be reported. Many years later after a successful ER nurse career, I am now working as a Nurse Coach and just applied to NP school. My license always remained unencumbered though. I never recieved any stips or restrictions. Keep it in persepctive, its just a reprimand. We all make mistakes.Good Luck
