I need some tips

I am graduating in December with my Associates RN. I have not worked in the health care field (Human health care anyways) and I am nervous that my inexperience will hinder my abilities to get a job at a hospital. What can I do to show the staffing cordinator that I am hirable and will be good for their facility?
Do you have any volunteer experience? I know that showing that you volunteer at a hospital or senior center really helps your chances of landing a nurse job.

Comment:
If you're able to with your school schedule, a job as a PCA/PCT/Nursing Assistant would help you gain some time management, patient/family interaction, and prioritization skills. It would also help you to gain an affiliation with a healthcare facility, which, in this job market, never hurts.

Gee, Lauren83338, I appreciate your concern re: being hirable and good for the facility. There are nurses out there who have been hired merely on the basis that they have an RN behind their name and undergo spontaneous respirations.Good luck to you in your interview.Dave
