New nurses and handling genitals

My girlfriend is new to the nursing profession...she works at the local clinic. She's loving it which makes me happy but there's one thing that concerns me - the fact that she handles a lot of patients' genitals. She says it takes some getting used to but so far it seems to have been a big topic of discussion. When she's on the phone with her nursing friends or sometimes when we're out with them, she'll talk about having to do this. Things like "this guy must have had the biggest one I've ever seen" (thanks, makes me feel great) or the reverse, "poor guy, I could barely find his thing." She says this kind of talk is normal at her practice, though they're discreet about it.

I have 2 questions:

- Does this kind of thing get old quick? She seems obsessed with penises at the moment but will she get over it?

- Does seeing penises all day mean mine is just another boring one? Is she comparing mine to all theirs?

You should be focusing on supporting her in a VERY difficult profession.One can only imagine why you choose to worry over this area of her many nursing duties.

Yes, for real (I know it sounds a little off, but believe me, it's a real concern.)I am supporting her as she enters this new profession. The way it seems to me is that it's not so much what I'm focusing on, as what she's focusing on. One comment or two I would have easily ignored but it seems like this is one of the main things she talks with her fellow nursing friends about. And that has me wondering...
