What exactly is a non=science vocational nursing degree???
Is it a certification?
If it says "degree," I would assume that's what it is, e.g. an associate's degree. But, this question is probably best answered by the particular institution offering the program.

Comment:
Thats what I was thinking. Im just kind of confused because this school offer an associates or certificate option for the LVN program..and then also the Associate of Science degree in nursing for LVN-RN. SOooo I am sooo confused on the option for the associates in the LVN program and if I can just do the RN exams after competion.

Comment:
The school probably offers both a degree and a diploma program for LVN. Many students opt to get the diploma for completing an LPN/LVN program, rather than taking the extra courses required to also get a degree. Each school has their own policies regarding their offerings for LPN/LVN.

Comment:
Seems pretty stupid to take the science out of a nursing degree.

Comment:
I can assure you that you will not be able to take RN exams upon completing the LVN degree. You will need to complete the separate RN program. Best to have an appointment with a nursing department advisor, who can clear all of this up for you.

Comment:
See I am getting different answers..some say you can take the RN exams, others say that Ill need to do the RN bridge program. Yes I should just speak to a nursing department advisor...
