What's new in nursing?

3 The repetitive topics and posts on AllNurses have bored me. I'll try to break the monotony and offer a thread where we can discuss the latest and greatest pertaining to nursing. Here's two products I've recently come across during inservices:

Patients can be discharged with negative pressure wound therapy. Portable module, easy to use. This thing's pretty cool. If you've never dealt with NPWT, check out some of the videos on KCI's website.
Well thanks, Turd. Anytime I get to use the words "turd" and "toradol" in the same sentence ....well my day is just made. Why, exactly, do we even NEED nasal Toradol, as sexy as it it..(?).

Well I guess if you have N&V and can't keep the tablets down, it would be useful. Didn't think about that. I use tons of it in the OR and it's a great drug but patients will have to be discharged with only enough for 48 hours.
