Nursing to Osteopathy?Rating: (votes: 0) To be a DO is to be the equivalent of an MD and a doctor - you know that, right? OMM is just one of the few things that is taught and is often disregarded and not practiced by most of the DOs out there, though I do think there are a couple residencies in OMM.I have heard of a potential program for PAs, but it was a long time ago. I have not heard of any program for nurses since the anatomy/phys you learn in med school far surpasses that which you cover in any undergraduate course, and the pharmacology and pathology is different, etc. Comment:
Go for it! My mom was an LPN..and has been an OB/GYN for 25 years, although she's allopathic. Sorry, but no credit is given for nursing. Possibly PAs, since some of them sit in the same classes as the med students, but I'm not even sure about that one. Good luck!
