School nursing vs. VA Case Management

I am currently a school nurse in the state of NC and have been offered a job at my local VA as a case manager. I am struggling with the decision and just don't know what to do. I love the schedule with the schools but the VA is offering alot more money and still has awesome benefits vs. a private sector job. I currently am employed by the state so I have decent benefits here too but have all summer off with my kids. But the job is sometimes monotonous and budget cuts have me scared. Any advice on what I should do or how I would like working at the VA? The job there is still M-F with no nights, weekends, holidays, etc.. But I am just unsure. Help!
