The Year is 2112...Rating: (votes: 0) I work in the hospital so I'm thinking.... Cordless EVERYTHING! Finally. Like sequential compression devices that are maybe a sheet of hydrogel with a little motor inside each. Can you imagine how much easier it would be to get your pt OOB without everything attached to him having a cord? Or even just wrangling with the vitals machine won't be such a mess anymore. And less surface space to contaminate/clean. Ventilator that works by neuro-stimulating just the diaphragm and the airway will be kept open by a simple spacer. No VAP, less VALI (ventilator-associated lung injury)! We'll figure out how dogs can detect impending hypoglycemia before traditional blood glucose readings and we'll use that science to have warning sensors. (okay, that might be more than 100 years in the future) Well, none of that will happen if the present government has anything to say about it. We will be back in the dark ages with socialized medicine. Comment:
2112? I will be long since dead, and don't care

I was wondering how long it would take before someone took a shot at Obama. I was not disappointed.

Still no nursing shortage.

I don't think the world will last that long.

I think the world is supposed to end this year anyway.

Quote from VespertinasWhat kinds of things do you think we'll see in healthcare? In the hospitals? In policy? At home?
