Dual State licenseRating: (votes: 0) You can be licensed in as many states as you wish or as required by your employment."I was told that..." isn't usually reliable. Ask your HR department for this policy in writing; I would bet dollars to doughnuts it's a baseless rumor. Many people work for multi-state hospital corporations and have licensure only in the single states where their individual places of employment are.If you aren't working in in Illinois, you don't need an Illinois license. Note, "work" includes things like telephonic case management across state lines, so if you live in Iowa and manage cases in Illinois, you need an IL license. Here's a link to a recent AN discussion on multiple licensure. There are more. The "Search" box at the top of the page is how you find them.http://allnurses.com/nursing-and-pro...ve-802212.html |
