"Reality" show about nurses begins Thursday....

Sorry if there are already post(s) about this, but I did a SEARCH and the ONLY thing that came up was a petition (from this site) and it won't allow me to access it....ANYHOOO....

"Scrubbing In" is a new "REALITY" show that premieres on MTV this Thursday....it's about Travel Nurses. I remember threads here in the past about it, but I can't find them....MANY negative thoughts about this show...

What do YOU think? Are you going to watch? I admit I am very curious, and I'm afraid of how it's going to portray nursing---after all, this show is on MTV....

I WISH there were good SOLID documentaries about nurses out there.....I have searched "NetFlix", but I realize there are a million other places I could look. Anyone wanna hook a sister up to some interesting, meaningful, educational documentaries about our profession? Thanks!

ABC had a few different hospital based shows, not focused totally on nurses but definitely portrayed nurses well. I believe you can get some or all of them on abc.com. They had Hopkins, Boston Med, and NY Med. I really enjoyed them, and I watched them with my husband who gained a lot of respect for what I do.

Thank you for the link to the thread.Rixter--thank you, my hubbs and I also watched all of those, and they weresooo good! I hope they bring them back sometime! Hubbs and I also followed a GREAT documentary years ago that followed several med students for many years (through school, internships, actual practice, etc...) sooo good! We recently found it on Nextfilx streaming and may watch it again. Would love to see a NURSE version of that, though!

Not interested in seeing how MTV butchers the Nursing field, but I have to share that an ex of mine is doing some sort of production work on the show. I would love to see an actual reality series about Nursing, but I guess I'll settle for Grey's as a little distraction. I'd love to watch Nurse Jackie, but I'm not paying extra.
