contact hours

Any programs anyone know of to get 30 contact hours for free?
Most day or 2-day conferences offer 10-12 CEUs, and none that I know of for free. Asking for 30 CEUs free? Good luck! And don't accept any wooden nickels...

You can find free CEUs that are 0.5-1.5 hours so you would have to complete 30-60 of these courses to earn 30 CEU. Medscape has free (0.1-1 contact hour) courses

a lot of vendors have CE on their websites that are approved by ANCC (cannot push their product). Think of the manufacturer names, or google topics to find. For instance, kidney disease, chest tubes, pressure ulcers----

We use CE Direct through work. I believe your institution has to have purchased membership for it, but the list of facilities is huge, so give it a try. All my CEs are free of charge. I have done over 30 just in the last month. I did one recently on geriatrics that was 20 contact hours - search for course 60189. Because I work with a lot of geriatric patients I passed the exam for it with minimal time having to review the coursework.
