A change of direction from nursing to ?Rating: (votes: 0) What about an ultrasound tech? Coding and Billing specialist? Neither of those require hours on foot. Comment:
I'm somewhat in a similar situation though I have had my nursing degree forever. Won't be able to tolerate the physical aspect of it any longer. I've looked into a lot of different areas wanting to be able to use the knowledge/degree I have and two things have sort of popped out at me. One is something to do with computers/IT though you probably wouldn't be around people as much. Lot's of 2 yrs or less degree options and I'd think a guaranteed job without the physical stress. The other would be like a Wellness Coach or something similar. Are you opposed to continuing your psychology degree? I mean maybe you could do counseling or consulting. One of my huge passions is making jewelry. I've discovered a college actually right where I live that trains people. So...and yes completely out of the healthcare field!...I'm going to look into that AND I'm going to get a certificate or Associate's degree in website design.Anyway. At least you have the pre-reqs done that can apply to other areas. Good luck to you!!
