New grad cardiac TCURating: (votes: 0) I'm a new grad in SF- landed a job at a killer hospital before I even graduated (I know, totally unheard of) and I feel like I won the lottery!! We're a postop CV floor in a cardiac hub- get all the CABG, TAVR, MVRs a couple days out, as well as MI, advanced cancer, CHF, COPD, etc. I will orient on days and then transition to NOCs. I have a little under a month before I start. My questions for you all are: how should I spend my time preparing? I'm reading up on the types of surgeries and complications, reviewing my strips, but what else? Also- I have three school-age children. DH is flexible with his work schedule, which is a god send but how will I get enough sleep? Thank you everyone!! ![]() |
